All trainees will present for 10 minutes on the most important facts of HIV prevention. They will work in groups of no more than 3. They will be critiqued by me and current HIT Squad members experienced in presenting. We're looking for: 1. accuracy 2. clarity 3. ability to present well (eye contact, loud enough, no distracting mannerisms, etc.) and 4. Creativity! Due to time constraints, games and activities we already learned in training should not be a part of these short presentations. The point is to be sure that all trainees have to ability to speak accurately and openly about HIV and the sensitive issues surrounding the topic.
Assuming everyone can complete the teach-back, congratulate the trainees and distribute certificates. Remind everyone that the training does not end here, but the real learning is about to begin. We learn more from talking with other people, planning events, presenting in public and following up with each other than we ever could in training. The purpose of training is to teach you the skills and the background to make the most of these other opportunities to reach people.
