AFAB Engineering works on both a project and consultant basis.

Projects

Machine design (complete machines or parts of systems) are based quoted on a project basis. That is, we will review the project and provide a quote on the estimated cost. This will include all engineering time, materials and assembly labor costs if applicable.

Consulting Fees

Consulting is based on an hourly rate. This is used for design/programming consulting as well as CAD system implementation. Rate vary for off site and on-site consulting. Contact AFAB Engineering for the latest rates.

Additional Costs

In both of the above cases, the customer is responsible for all costs associated with travel once the project has begun. Travel time is charged at 1/2 the current consulting rate. In addition, the customer will be billed for all costs related to travel such as airline tickets and hotel fees.

The customer will also be billed for any materials purchased by AFAB Engineering for the project.
