Come celebrate the 100th Birthday of one of the Screen's great leading men and TV's favorite Dad in his hometown of Beaver Dam, WI. A man, who by his own accounts, happened to be in the right place at the right time, to wit: just a LUCKY GUY. But he is so much more. His versatility was truly unparalleled by his contemporaries. Although his success and ability to adapt to an everchanging industry demands note, it is of greater importance that he achieved this succeess without sacrificing his small hometown decency and respect for others. In a city and business where those virtues are so easily lost, one can only marvel and admire his never wavering commitment to them. This museum examines his early days through his remarkable career and family life. Like him, it is not glitzy or complicated. It just tells a simple story about a simple but very talented man.

THE FRED MacMURRAY MUSEUM at 1645 N. Spring Street, Beaver Dam, WI.

MOVIE STAR, FAMILY MAN
and
AMERICA'S FAVORITE DAD

Modeled after the Old Odeon Theater of Beaver Dam, THE FRED MacMURRAY MUSEUM will have but a short stay through October of this year, Fred's 100th Birthday. The museum contains an extensive collection of MacMurray memorabilia including original posters from all of his movies spanning five continents. The collection chronicles his early days in Beaver Dam through his success on stage, screen and TV. A video catalog of nearly all of Fred MacMurray's appearances on film and television is available for research. Four video stations and a twenty seat movie theater aid in telling the great story of one of the screen's most versatile leading men. A great family man, learn how Fred was able to nurture not one but two loving families spanning fifty-four years. So, come help us pop the cork as we celebrate the life of the man who starred as a leading man in more golden era movies other than John Wayne, the man who co-starred with more of the great leading ladies of the golden era than any other leading man and the man who starred in the second longest running sitcom in TV history, MY THREE SONS. And it is all right here in South Central Wisconsin - in the middle of Dodge County - in BEAVER DAM, WI. Just minutes away from Milwaukee, Madison, Chicago, Rockford, Green Bay, Minneapolis and Dubuque.
