The Society has made a commitment to provide a friendly place for children to come and learn about our local, national and world history. One way we have accomplished this is to partner with our local school district's Project Aware program. Fourth Graders citywide take an architectural walk with volunteers. At the end of the walk, the children visit our museum. Staff here split the classes into groups and help them tour the museum. Various activities are planned for the children. |

One such activity is a game called WHO AM I? or WHAT AM I? Students are given sheets with pictures of items or people that appear in the museum. In playing the game, the visiting kids get to better understand the people and things that helped form our community and nation. |
